THE STUDIO
Momento Studios is located in the heart of Downtown Mesa, AZ. We invite you to take a peek into our inviting, fun and relaxing boutique studio that has been custom designed with the newborn and parents’ comfort in mind. We supply all of the essentials to help ensure your experience is both memorable and pleasant.
THE CAMERA ROOM
This is where the portrait magic happens! During the newborn portrait session, this room is kept between 80-85 degrees for baby’s comfort. Our goal is to have several sets ready before you arrive, so we can flow through the session seamlessly, optimizing baby’s sleepy-time. Parents are welcome to observe, or relax in the Parent Lounge.
THE PARENT LOUNGE
This space is a favorite for moms, dads and older siblings. It is equipped with Netflix, wireless internet, magazines, and an assortment of toys to keep older siblings entertained. Having a newborn is exhausting, so we invite you to relax in a recliner and take a nap, or just lounge away and catch up on Grey’s Anatomy.
THE MOTHER’S RETREAT
The Mother’s Retreat was designed to be a relaxing and functional space for new mamas. Conveniently located next to the Camera Room, this space boasts all of the new-mama essentials:
Additionally, the Mother’s Retreat is home to an array of snacks and beverages, including a popcorn machine! A host of “getting ready” items for the whole family, as well as a baby-bath station complete with bath toys to keep your little one entertained while we wash off the cake from a 1st birthday cake smash session complete this space.
With dimmable lights and a curtain for privacy, this space truly is a Mother’s Retreat.
THE POWDER ROOM
An en-suite power room is conveniently located in the studio, and stocked with a new-mama care kit.
THE PROP CLOSET
Prop-hoarding, collection, treasures, stash- call it what you want: the truth is, our prop assortment is extensive and we offer a huge selection of high-end, custom and handmade props. We’ve spent years scouring antique shops and working with newborn prop vendors to acquire a creative variety of options to customize your newborn session.
DESIGNER MATERNITY WARDROBE
Arizona maternity photographer Lizzy McMillan and Momento Studios want you to look your best for your pregnancy session. Lizzy has hand-selected an extensive collection of over 100 designer maternity gowns, robes, and separates in an array of colors, sizes and styles.
Our posh Maternity Wardrobe is the most comprehensive collection available to expecting moms in Arizona.
We are constantly adding new options to ensure you have the industry’s latest styles available at no additional charge. Momento Studios’ wardrobe includes designer gowns from TAoPaN, Sew Trendy Accessories, Couture Parfait, Roses and Ruffles and several custom-designed by Lizzy herself. No need to worry about what to wear, you can relax and leave the styling to us!
FUN STUDIO DETAILS
The very FIRST camera Lizzy ever owned was a Polaroid at age 9. She would pose the neighbor-kids on the family hearth {after appropriately adding props, sheets and details}, and present their parents with autographed Polaroid photos. Both the original Polaroid camera and several of the original works of “art” are on display in the studio today.

Momento Studios is not an in-home or garage studio. We are a boutique portrait studio located in a historic building in the heart of Downtown Mesa, Arizona. We are fully licensed, certified, insured and in good standing with:
